A representative example of this work is the replacement of all mechanical systems serving Deep Creek Central Elementary School. The project was designed for construction during the summer recess and included replacement of through-the-wall unit ventilators with modern variable air volume systems. Rooftop mechanical equipment was utilized, requiring analysis of the existing roof structure and coordination with structural modifications to support the added equipment loads. A similar mechanical system replacement and design approach was implemented for Southeastern Elementary School.

- Greenbrier Primary School: Replacement of water source through-the-wall heat pumps with rooftop water source heat pumps.
- Western Branch Primary School: Replacement of water source through-the-wall heat pumps with rooftop water source heat pumps.
- Indian River Middle School: Replacement of dual duct mixing boxes and addition of supplemental rooftop cooling units for four computer classrooms.
- Western Branch Middle School: Replacement of dual duct mixing boxes and addition of supplemental rooftop cooling units for four computer classrooms.
- Indian River High School: Replacement of dual duct mixing boxes and addition of supplemental rooftop cooling units for four computer classrooms.
- Twenty-one Schools: Supplemental cooling was added to the kitchens. Work was accomplished in two construction contracts.
- Fifteen schools: Supplemental cooling was added to the server rooms. Work was accomplished in three construction contracts.
