Projects have included repair, replacement, and system upgrades designed to be accomplished during the summer recess.

A representative example is the recent replacement of all mechanical systems serving Deep Creek Central Elementary School. The replacement project was designed to be accomplished over the summer recess. Through-the-wall unit ventilators were replaced with more modern variable air volume systems. Rooftop equipment was utilized, requiring an analysis of the existing roof structure and modifications to the structural system to support the weight of the new equipment. A similar design was provided for Southeastern Elementary School.
Other representative projects for the City of Chesapeake under the current contract include:
- Deep Creek Middle School: Replacement of make-up ventilation air systems.
- Hugo Owens Middle School: Replacement of make-up ventilation air systems.
- Cedar Road elementary School: Replacement of Rooftop Units serving the cafeteria and Gymnasium.
- Butts Road Primary School: Replacement of the cafeteria unit and sixteen classroom units with individual rooftop gas-fired units.
- M. Williams Primary School: Replacement of through-the-wall unit ventilators with individual rooftop units serving the classrooms.
- Treakle Elementary School: Replacement of through-the-wall unit ventilators with individual rooftop units serving the classrooms.
- Greenbrier Primary School: Replacement of water source through-the-wall heat pumps with rooftop water source heat pumps.
- Western Branch Primary School: Replacement of water source through-the-wall heat pumps with rooftop water source heat pumps.
- Indian River Middle School: Replacement of dual duct mixing boxes and addition of supplemental rooftop cooling units for four computer classrooms.
- Western Branch Middle School: Replacement of dual duct mixing boxes and addition of supplemental rooftop cooling units for four computer classrooms.
- Indian River High School: Replacement of dual duct mixing boxes and addition of supplemental rooftop cooling units for four computer classrooms.
- Twenty-one Schools: Supplemental cooling was added to the kitchens. Work was accomplished in two construction contracts.
- Fifteen schools: Supplemental cooling was added to the server rooms. Work was accomplished in three construction contracts.
