This fast-track new construction design-build project was
completed in August 2005 and provided a four-story facility
for 600 students. Room arrangement included a variety of apartment
style suites with kitchens. Common areas included large meeting
rooms, retail spaces, lounges, and a fitness area. Construction
was primarily wood frame, presenting a variety of challenges
for mechanical and electrical systems in order to maintain
assembly ratings for fire protection. Project design and construction
was accomplished in less than twelve months, including BCOM
reviews, to meet the requirements of an August, 2005, opening.
