| Upgrade
of Emergency Generators |

Project consisted of removal of 3-450 KW / 562 KVA emergency
generators (gen-sets), generator and distribution switchgear
and associated cooling and ventilation systems. New work was
the provision of 3-750 KW / 937 KVA gen-sets, remote radiators,
paralleling and distribution switchgear and cooling and ventilation
systems. New switchgear provides automatic start, parallel
of generators and automatic load assumption in event of loss
of normal power. Capability for manual start, paralleling
and load transfer is provided. Change out was planned and
phased to maintain emergency generation capabilities and continue
on-going operations throughout construction. New generation
system was sized and accommodates all existing hospital emergency
requirements plus contains provisions for all planned additions
and renovations.
